Victorville Route 66 Museum Temporarily Closes After Burglary

Important!  Please do not call the museum for information, they are being inundated with calls.  They appreciate the support but, there’s much work to be done in the aftermath.

This site was started to report about the fun stuff in the desert.  It is with heavy heart that I have to write about this.

The Route 66 Museum in Victorville will be closed temporarily due to a burglary Monday morning on January 22, 2018.  According to the Daily Press Article Susan Bridges, the President of the Museum, was alerted to the break by the alarm company just before 2am.  According to the Daily Press Article and the Route 66 Facebook page, a person was arrested in connection with the burglary and the stolen items were recovered.  But many of the artifacts in the museum were destroyed.  The museum is set to re-open on Friday the 26 of January 2018.

Susan Bridges, the President of the Route 66 Museum has set up a go fund me account.
